The maid of honor and best speeches are one of my favorite parts of a wedding reception. It’s where the stories come out, the inside jokes that make everyone laugh, and the real and raw emotions of how people feel about the bride and groom. Jenn and Austen delivered these speeches with ease and authenticity at Mike & Kerry’s wedding at the Wedgewood Ocotillo Golf Resort!

“She is everyone’s best friend.”
“He is one of the most selfless people I’ve ever met.”

These were two of the statements that really stuck out to me as I listened to this couple’s best friends talk about them to their crowd of family and friends. It was pretty obvious by Mike & Kerry’s large bridal party that they are the type of people that really know how to invest in people! Kerry has such a contagious outgoing personality, and she immediately makes you feel like you’ve known her forever! And Mike… one of the sweetest guys ever! The whole day he kept asking me, “Ok Aly what do you need? What can I do to help?”… on his own wedding day! So when I heard his best man speak these words about him, it became so personal!

It was seriously such an honor and pleasure to spend the day with Mike & Kerry, capturing their wedding day through my camera lens! After posting some sneak peeks on my Instagram feed, Kerry’s dad even reached out and told me that he cried looking at how beautiful everything was! Just another reason I love what I do – I get to create and give people a gift that will last forever! It’s the best feeling.

Mike and Kerry – thank you SO much for allowing me to tag along on your special day and getting to be a part of the day you became Mr. and Mrs.! Thank you for trusting me with your wedding day and for letting me serve you! It was such a joy! I can’t wait to see where the Lord takes you both in your marriage, because you are power couple that God has so much in store for! Love you both!!
