Alex contacted me 4 days after they got engaged… FOUR DAYS!! She was on top of it! We emailed back and forth and picked a date and location. I would like to say that I’m not biased when it comes to location, but whenever a client chooses the desert as their backdrop, I get a little giddy inside. (Side note – yes the desert is dry and can appear to be too much “brown”, but if you know where to go, you’ll realize that the actual desert is actually super beautiful and does have patches of green!) Anyways, I met Tyler and Alex at Phon D Sutton near the Salt River in east Mesa, which is one of my favorite desert locations. From previous conversation with them, I knew they were nervous, as they had never had professional photos done before! I always have people ask me and I love to ensure my clients that they don’t have to worry; I will direct and pose the whole time! It’s my job to provide beautiful images, but also an amazing experience! Within just a few minutes of this engagement session, I knew the love Tyler and Alex share was undeniable! The way she smiled at him with such a glow in her eye, and the way he protected her and made her laugh. UGH SO CUTE! Their love for each other was so easy to capture!

They are planning their Utah wedding for the middle of July, exactly three months after getting engaged! I loved hearing all about their color scheme and plans they already had set to make their wedding special. We went all around the Phon D grounds…they were such an easy going couple and were willing to try anything I suggested! Towards the end of their session, I kept saying, “Ok, just one more… Ok now one more… Ok now I’m for real, one more!” because they were just so cute and I didn’t want to stop! They would laugh and say, “We’re good! This is so fun, we can keep going!” I loved hearing this reaction, because I know how nervous they were before. It was so encouraging for to me hear them at the end with so much excitement and anticipation to see their images!
